Where is Monica?

Recently, a poll dropped showing us 13 points ahead of my opponent, Monica De La Cruz. Maybe that’s right, maybe not. That’s not the purpose of today’s post.

Instead, I want to tell you how my opponent reacted to a fourth straight poll showing her behind.

She churned out the same-old attack lines and hid from the spotlight.

That’s her go-to move.

Hide behind misleading ads on television. Hide behind Trump’s super PACs, which are backing her campaign to the tune of $3.1 million. Hide from a record that has hurt families in our community.

Monica won’t debate me. She won’t even hold a town hall to answer for her time in office.

Where is Monica?

Lots of people ask me that very question after they thank me for holding events and for being accessible.

I’m not going to change the way I campaign, even with the polls showing us ahead.

But I have to tell you, the only way to fight back against my opponent’s strategy of slinging mud and dodging voters is by funding our ads and organizers before ballots are cast.

And we need more resources to hit our fundraising goals.
